My Contributions
This project showed me how essential research backed design truly is, from running user research end to end to sharpening my people skills while gathering data.
Participant Management
Recruited and scheduled local lawncare companies for interviews and observations.
Journey Maps & Personas
Helped build the maps and personas behind our recommendations.
Primary Research
Led interviews and on-site observations with local lawncare owners.
Project Management
Ran weekly stand-ups with our sponsor and kept the team on track.
THE PROBLEM
problem.html
Too many tools, no clear view.
GravityDrive is a UX consulting firm building a platform to streamline project management for landcare companies. Many in the industry juggle disconnected tools and lack real-time visibility into their work.
Our goal: identify the key user groups, how they interact, and the pain points that feature recommendations should address.
THE SOLUTION

One centralized platform
A research-backed foundation that streamlines workflows and improves real-time visibility.

STEP 2
Learning From Real Users
On-site observations and interviews, then affinity diagramming, personas, and a journey map.
Finding: the business owner is our main scope.
03-opportunities.txt
STEP 3
Finding Opportunity Spaces
Feature and competitive analysis, then an impact-effort matrix to prioritize.
Finding: a ranked list for both business sizes.

STEP 4
Handoff to Sponsor
A smooth transition to the design team.
Limits: access to companies, observation contexts, and time.
